The National Retriever Club of Canada

The Labrador Retriever Club of Ontario was incorporated in 1952, after holding its first licensed field trial in 1950 near Huttonville, Ontario. We are very proud of the fact that the L.R.C.O. hosted the first National Stake in Ontario in 1954. Since then, our club has also hosted the 1980 and the 1993 Canadian National Retriever Championships with great success, and of course gaining tremendous experience in the process.

To date the L.R.C.O. membership consists of nearly 30 members, many of whom have experience hosting, competing in and judging National events, as well as having held prior positions with the National Retriever Club of Canada.

The Labrador Retriever Club of Ontario will host the 2000 National Amateur Retriever Championship between July10 to 15, 2000 in the Luther Marsh area near Orangeville, Ontario. The L.R.C.O. intends to make this Championship a memorable event for all competitors and guests.
