FTCH AFTCH REVILO'S CUTTING EDGE
(FC FTCH AFTCH DAMN YANKEE X REVILO'S LIL BIT OF GINGER)

Nick at 7 weeks

Nick was born on December 11, 2003 at Revilo's Kennels.  He was one of five boys in the litter and again Rob Oliver was good enough to reserve pick of litter for us.  We actually took two for a weekend to see how they might work out.  Although it was a close contest, Nick won out and the other male pup never made it back to Lethbridge as another new owner in Calgary picked him up after the weekend was over.

Nick at 8 weeks

At 8 weeks of age Nick is looking for a good time and like his older sister Briar is adapting to the white stuff.  Names are always a difficult task and we didn't want to go with the "Hey you" for very long.  Cutting Edge seemed appropriate as he soon attempted to cut off communications in the household by severing our phone line.  We didn't know what to call him for a "nick"name so we called him "Nick" which also relates to a cutting edge.

Nick is a very studious learner and spends time sending out email to his friends.

Early training with Nick showed good promise with lots of enthusiasm. At the tender age of five months he ran  test dog on an Open land blind at the  Prince George trial and he lined it, with a marker out of course.

As a puppy, Nick continues to show good promise. Nick ran eight puppy trials and he earned 19 points at trials including two Puppy wins and a Junior CM at the Alberta Retrievers Club Association provincial trial near Innisfail on the September long weekend at the age of 8.5 months.

As a Qualifying dog he accumulated 17 points, making him number 2 in Alberta, and number 5 in Canada. He and Briar competed head to head in every trial.

Nick started out his trial year with an open 2nd. Considering Nick had the winter months off, we were thrilled with this placing after only 2 weeks of spring training. During his all age season he acquired 21 all age points, including his win to earn both his championship titles. He made number 3 in Alberta and number 6 in Canada on both the Open and Combined lists.

Nick is a pleasure to train, always eager and incredibly intense. Nick is totally amateur owner trained and handled.

Nick has sired several litters to date and these pups are showing great promise.  Wingbusters Sky's The Limit is a win short of his titles.
