"Show 'n Shine" Event
Every year, under the sponsorship of Wolfe Chevrolet Oldsmobile, the B.C. Olds Club organizes the Show 'n Shine car meet in North Vancouver. This event takes place traditionally on Father's Day, at the Waterfront Park, Esplanade Avenue, (west of the Seabus Terminal & Lonsdale Quay), from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. All Oldsmobiles are appreciated, any year, any size, any shape. The registration fee is CAN.$10.00 for your first car, another CAN.$5.00 for your second Oldsmobile. Registration fees include door prizes, awards, and a dash plaque. A membership to the B.C. Olds Club is not required, everyone is welcome. |

A beautiful sunny day encouraged more people to come to The 19TH ANNUAL FATHERS DAY event this year: more cars and more visitors. No less than 5 Toronados participated. A shiny 66 silver new in town, a red 67, with rare factory bucket seats, a 70 silver, an 86 black, and a white 92 trofeo from the U.S.
As well as Toronados, 2 Auroras entered the competition. The newest member of our fleet, a white 96 and Aurora #36 from the last 500 cars built by Oldsmobile. The 66 won a third place in the "Best 64/72 full size" category and our Aurora won the third place for the Best 81/present" category. At the end of the show, everyone went home sporting a smile and a sunburn. |
