In The Works |
| My “spare” time the last two decades has been devoted to studying the Napoleonic period and the North American frontier. The two passions have eventually mingled resulting in a series of completed novels and an even longer list of ones to tackle. My research has not been limited to reading books and digging into old manuscripts, although there certainly has been enough of that. I have also visited and explored the actual sites featured in each of the completed novels. Likewise where possible I have consulted with experts in the various subjects featured. Although projected as a series of approximately twenty novels, each title stands by itself. Readers who like historical drama, mysteries, or just general adventure should enjoy the entire series, although several titles will be of particular interest to American or to British audiences. Consequently, I am offering the following for publication either as a series or as individual novels.

Three articles will be appearing in Esprit de Corps in the July, August, and September issues. These outline the fascinating life of Arne Knudsen, a ninety-six year-old veteran of the Danish Navy, the International Brigades, and the Canadian Army. I have many hours of taped interviews with Arne, a man with clear memories of an amazing life of adventures and mishaps. Arne could well be a book in himself. As well, I am about to begin interviews with Ed St. Godard M.M., and Cliff Kennedy, two other exceptional World War Two veterans with some great stories to record. At the moment I have no clear concept of the final product of these interviews, but there will be no shortage of fascinating and informative material. |
