The Balancing Act

of Lee, Steve and Reporter

Witness Lee teaches balance between tritheism and modalism presented in his "Two Spirits Defense" article that he uses to defend himself (you will come to the same obvious finding), yet he still commits acts of modalism, in the same way Steve (from Watchman Nee Forum Frigate) believes in Taoism ying and yang, in order to reject once-saved-always-saved Arminianism. He does this by accepting parts of Arminianism and parts of Calvinism which is impossible since they are mutually exclusive. Baptists believe it or not, do the exact same thing, accepting parts of one and parts of another, when they are, in fact, mutually exclusive. Either God gives you free-will or He does not, to accept His life, or to not accept, thereby preventing the gift of eternal life. All five points of Calvinism are false for each one kills free-will made in the image of God.

Just as Witness Lee likes to go in the middle, so does Steve. Some people don't know any better, so they think they are being wise by going in the middle. This is what I find people in the world do to protect themselves. It is possible the middle could be wrong, and one of the points on the end is true, such as once saved always saved arminianism. Calvinism is easily disproved by John 6.47 for this verse says all you need to do is believe, and you shall be saved. Simple. How gracious is God. Steve says: "Both are extreme positions. Both can be 'proven' by the convenient selection of certain verses out of context to support a predetermined position of the reader. The Bible can be used to 'prove' anything.....I am well trained in world religions, the European intellectual tradition, Christian theology". This (pride) is not exactly the attitude of a Christian, sounds like relativism, and sounds like Steve thinks he can prove anything he wants, in his own mind. God knows though he is just fooling himself. There is a truth which God has laid out in the Scriptures on this very matter.

Reporter (at Watchman Nee Forum Frigate) is a Calvinist who "stacks the deck" which means he believes he was predetermined to be saved irrespective of a sovereign will. Most Calvinists are not Christians, priding themselves over others believing salvation comes from being pre-selected and pre-programmed by God unto eternal life. Witness Lee was a Calvinist too believing the exact same thing.

Watchman Nee was a once saved always saved Arminiast just to show how different Nee and Lee are. Our guiding principle therefore, is not to seek some happy middle of the road equilibrium that may satisfy our mind or others, or believe in relative rationalizing, but instead, seek the truth and let the Holy Spirit guide us in truth to what is the answer of God's salvation. This is a much different approach of God's redemptive design, and much more powerful than these various groups operating in their mind and not their spirit.
