Above all other claims on the uncreated Creator. Check out the simpler version, a shorter version and the New 4 Step Proof. "If you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him" (Deut. 4.29). "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart" (Jer. 29.13).
Free-choice: Why are so Many Unsaved?
Read Slowly and Carefully
I am going to explain this in language everyone can understand. This is the first and foremost requirement of proving God exists and who God is - simplicity. An infinite regress of explanations explaining the explanations is not necessary to prove the existence of the uncreated Creator. You don't need to know everything about God to know He exists. God said He proves Himself by observing nature (Rom. 1.20). Let's see if He is right.
Something can't come from that which does not exist, so the universe requires a cause from something. Something in nature can't arbitrarily always have existed, for anyone could make up anything. The universe can't always have existed because heat death would be far greater than it is, and mankind would have approximated into that alleged past eternity and not still be sinning to the extent we still do along the exponential progression of conscience we are clearly on (more on this later).
If there was an infinite regress, you would have happened already, having had an eternity to do so. Contrariwise, if there was an infinite regress, there would be an eternity going on, never fully reached, so you would never have come into being. Infinite regress is inherently contradictory and therefore false. Since nature can't always have existed and can't come from nothing (that which does not exist), then the cause for nature necessarily must come from outside of itself, outside of time and space. Accepting this is the beginning of humility and entering the realm of pure logic.
Atheism is utterly destroyed and morally bankrupt because it has no answer to this prescient issue and never will. Ask an atheist what evidence he has for atheism? He will dodge the issue, spend an hour redefining atheism in multiple different conflicting ways and say he doesn't need a reason, because he just feels it in his burning bosom. Christians have a burning bosom of faith also, which certainly runs deeper with eternal life and the Holy Spirit within, but we don't say that is the sole reason. Our reasoning extends to many varied proofs for God (they are commonly cited among scholars as in Blackwell's Companion to Natural Theology). There is nothing new under the sun!
True life flows from accepting the One True God. You would have to be God (having omniscience) to know if God exists when you hold out having to know all things to be sure. You are saying you won't accept proof of God unless you are God. That is what you say! I say you will never accept God, because your lame excuses continually magnify your false humility and give God no way to penetrate your heart, so Hell is needed to eternally separate you from the love of God.
Choose the one true faith (true reality) that comes out on top from the ones that are accessible. There are only three choices that make up about 90% of the world's religions. They are Christianity, Hinduism and Islam. Obviously, Christianity is the most personal because God reveals Himself in Christ who walked among us and shall return. Christianity is the only belief system where God Himself enters His creation and saves us by taking all our sins upon Himself to save whoever is willing to receive the ransom that was fully paid for the forgiveness of sins and brings us to die on the cross with Christ.
All other faiths worship a deity who is unwilling or unable to do this; so, God of the Bible trumps then all in their works-based faiths for initial salvation, for no man shall be saved by works, lest any may boast. No person is even able to keep on believing unless she or he gave their life to the right God-the one who keeps. Only Christianity provides real tangible proof with such strong data for the resurrection of Jesus. The original disciples multiply attested to the resurrection appearances in various group settings for which nobody in the past two millennia have been able to come up with a naturalistic explanation. They cannot meet the historical requirement for plausibility, explanatory scope and explanatory power in their theories to explain away the origin of the disciples' beliefs, His burial, the empty Tomb, and appearances.
If you want to be eternally separated from God, itís your choice to send yourself to Hell. However, you do, in fact, lead many people to Christ and strengthen the faith of the body of Christ because you are unable to disprove this perfect proof for God. Amen.
Don't worry about who God is yet or even if He exists, just realize the universe needs a cause and can't come from nothing. Let me know at Biblocality Chat if you have reached that point of genuine acceptance yet, so the conversation can continue in earnest. I consider the "something from nothing" proposition truly insanity for which only Hell can satisfy. I consider of no account anyone who calls himself a scientist who thinks something came come from nothing.
If you were to find a cause for radioactive decay, or other quantum constants or variables, you would still claim there could yet be a further cause without the need for God. This eternal hunt is a contradiction in behavior, because you will never find the end of the rainbow. In other words, you provide God no ability to prove Himself to you, thus exalting and erecting yourself above God like Lucifer did. Atheism becomes unfalsifiable in that case and anything unfalsifiable is itself false! Christianity is falsifiable. You just need to come up with a naturalistic explanation for the origin of the disciples' beliefs. Why are you waiting over two thousand years to do so? it's not that complicated.
Are you like a 3 year old? Why do you need to hold out to know all things to know if the universe requires a cause? Atheism is inherently self-contradictory, because it claims you need to be all-knowing to know if the universe can't come from nothing, but if you were all-knowing (the very attribute of God) then atheism would be false, for it denies God's existence and this ability of His.
When you say there was a timeless always existing beginning to the universe, the very nature of God, why do you shut your mind down and not ask the question who qualifies better as being the uncreated Creator? Simply compare your natural uncaused cause to God being the uncaused cause. God has a mind and will. Your natural uncaused cause does not. How can the Creator be less than His created beings? (I use the term "His" only in the sense that language has its limits, and "It" is derogatory to that which has a mind.)
If you say God can't create the universe because He needs time to do so, then your natural timeless state of affairs before the big bang could never bring the universe into being. A double standard exposes the fraudulent nature of your argument. Only one can be true. Either God did it or one of your silly theory.
How can all the complexities of quantum mechanics produce a mind, for they are just laws of nature, variables and constants, exhibiting action and reaction, cause and effect? Bouncing particles without God could never derive the attributes of world-consciousness, self-consciousness and God-consciousness. They cannot without God give us a conscience, intuition, feelings, thoughts, communion and volition. But God can have all these qualities because a spirit being can have these qualities.
To believe matter and the fields of quantum science can bring about these attributes is a leap of faith that I dare say atheists have a stronger faith than I do, for a loving God would never ask us to have such blind faith.
If a person cares about evidence, then they will submit themselves to it instead interjecting unfounded assumptions to avoid that evidence. Just because you can't see the cause to virtual particles that seem to pop into existence, it is very wrong to assume that they do so because you are not smart enough to see their cause. Oh what vanity! Throughout the ages are all the nonsensical ways to reject God by stirring the pot of humanism and adding new flavors to religion. None of them really sway too far off the beaten path. Pseudo-quantum mechanics has become an idol. Whole theories have been made up to try to reject God. The Standard Model and String Theory are intact and exhibit 100% causation.
How can you feel so comfortable in rejecting God on this basis? I know if I overassumed like atheists do, I would feel the arrogance and pretension in myself. Why don't you have the conscience to feel the same? You are made in God's image just like I am.
There is observably proven an overwhelming preponderance of evidence beyond a reasonable doubt of trillions and trillions of causes in nature, yet no hard evidence that something (in nature) comes from that which does not exist. It's like you are playing a lottery with odds against you more than a trillion to one, hoping you could still win.
Think how weird it would be to say there is a one billion pound gorilla that can pick you up and place you on a mountain top. Yet there is no one billion pound gorilla since it doesn't exist so it can't cause anything. Something can't come from nothing. Who is going to win out? The Flying Spaghetti Monster, the Invisible Pink Unicorn or the One Billion Pound Gorilla? Since God is weightless (even Quarks, Strings and the Higgs Field are weightless), Spirit has no color under any scope, and spaghetti can't fly, we are left with none other than the uncreated Creator. Amen.
"Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains [in the running], no matter how improbable, must be the truth," Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Homes.
The absurdity of false humility goes hand in hand with arrogance. Why shut your mind down to the overwhelming preponderance of evidence that is beyond a reasonable doubt? We can confidently conclude the reason you reject reality is because of your desire to remain sinful and in your selfish self which eternally separates you from love of the One True God.
I would not wish upon my worst enemy where you are going if you choose to remain an atheist in all its contradictory versions. If you search God out with all your heart and soul, you shall surely find Him. Ergo, if you haven't found him yet, it is because you are not sincerely searching Him out with all your heart and soul. The choice is yours and yours alone.
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart" (Jer. 29.13). If you don't search God with all your heart, that explains why you haven't found Him yet. "For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, 'even' his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse" (Rom 1.20). The Bible warns, "Avoid profane vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called" (1 Tim. 6.20).
According to pure logic, a non-believer (atheist) writes "that this calculation [Step 1] tells us that we are moving from more to less sin and concludes that since we have not reached the state of ultimate sinlessness then it must be the case that there was not an eternity of past causes and effects. The argument is deductively valid" (Arturo from THINK The Secular Playground).
"The message God delivered through the angels has always proved true" (Heb. 2.2). But "they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables" (2 Tim. 4.4) such as atheism, "who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator" (Rom. 1.25). "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" (1 Tim. 4.1).
"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4.4). "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2 Cor. 6.17). "But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out" (Num. 32.23).
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come" (2 Tim. 3.1). "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts" (Rev. 9.21). "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him [Jesus Christ] the iniquity of us all" (Is. 53.6). Look how God places bearing false witness right up there with the worst of crimes, "for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies" (Matt. 15.19). Do not misrepresent God (Step 3). Look how they misrepresent God in discussions and debates.
We do not assume the Scriptures to be true first, but start with the widely accepted dictionary definition of sin: "any reprehensible or regrettable action, behavior, lapse, etc.; great fault or offense: It's a sin to waste time". And "to commit or perform sinfully: He sinned his crimes without compunction" (Dictionary.com).
We don't know of any undirected process. Information systems need a compiler, programs needs a programmer. Objective moral values need an objective, transcendent, causal agent and moral law-giver. Still nobody can empirically produce abiogenesis.
Many even in Christendom have said there is no proof of God and must be taken on blind faith like atheists blindly believe in atheism. They too are wrong and did not give their lives to the God who proves Himself who says to "prove all things."
If there was an eternity of the past of cause and effects, we would have had nearly an eternity to be perfected without sin along the exponential progression of conscience which we clearly observe, but since we still sin more than would be the case, we know there was not an eternity of the past of cause and effects. Therefore, we know we were created by the uncreated-God of the Bible since none can compare to Christ.
It will not take a billion, a million or even another 10,000 years to reach near sinlessness. God works in long transitions from the old dispensation of 4000 years to the dispensation of grace of 2000 years to the coming kingdom of 1000 years. Each period exhibits a new grace and improvement in man's conscience.
Throwing children as sacrifices into the fiery mouth of the Molech-type god is virtually non-existent today. What was so prevalent in antiquity no longer exists today. Israel defeated the Philistines who practiced child sacrifice. The list is long, but to name a few, there are the Talismanics, Mayans, Incas, Aztecs, TaoTuoKongs, Egyptians, Romans and Persians. This alone proves the exponential progression of conscience.
The universe is expanding at an exponential rate, so is our conscience.
Women can vote now just this past century. There are more democracies than ever before. The murder rate and crime rate per capita have continued to drop precipitously throughout the centuries. In previous centuries, wars would wipe out more than half the population of a region. Cannibalism, slavery and polygamy are against the law now. A Hindu practice whereby a widow immolates herself on the funeral pyre of her husband is now abolished by law.
The laws of a society reflect the collective conscience of a people. We have jails because of sin not because of laws. The law points to our sin because no man can keep the law written on our own hearts. The only thing I can think of that reflects human sacrifices today is Islam where they seem to raise their children with the intent of convincing them to blow themselves up in the name of Allah so the parent can get $25,000 or whatever the going rate is. Since Islam is salvation by works nobody knows if they are saved (non-OSAS),* but in their eyes they can assure their salvation if they blow themselves up and the Infidel with them which is anyone who is not a Muslim according to the Koran.
* Non-OSAS stands for not once-saved-always-saved.
The word of God proves to us man can't save himself or keep himself saved even by faith. Once saved "if we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself" (2 Tim. 2.13). Only in Christianity does God have the love to come down to us to save us and bring us up to Him. Man was born into sin-proven by the fact that no man has never not sinned. The greater part of Christendom is a lie, engaged in a false salvation of non-OSAS. A vast number of Protestant denominations participate in this belief with the Roman Church (the great harlot) and Eastern Orthodox non-taxable corporations. Very simply we know, though, like children, the pure words of John that those who are born-again "shall never perish" (John 10.28).
If you don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ in which you know it is impossible to lose eternal life, then you are not a child of God. We must be honest with the data we all agree on. Using only data that most skeptical scholars concede as certain, we derive the Minimal Facts Approach that proves Jesus is God.
Christians believe in the prokaryote, the first replicating organism, evolution, and the exponential expansion of the universe, but we do not believe in abiogenesis, and we do not believe the constants and variables of nature are enough to give us consciousness. We believe the math an calculus behind the proofs for God. According to calculus, the approximation to eternity is taken as eternity, called the law of limits. And so heat death would be greater than it is, and we would have happened already, having had an eternity to do so.
Evolution does not account for our spiritual and soulical being, nor does it address how life came about in the first place. We are evolving in the sense many dictionary definitions allow for, but not in the way evolutionists would ascribe to without God's involvement.
The first chart shows God's involvement. The second chart shows the mistaken view of an eternity of the past of cause and effects with or without time by some undirected process. Even the unsaved exhibit an improvement in conscience, but since they reject Christ for their salvation which is an eternal choice, they are condemned to Hell for all eternity, permanently separated from God. This life was more than enough time to choose. Thatís why you see almost nobody in their later ages turn to Christ. Antony Flew was never going to give his life to Christ after he became a deist in his 80ís. They won't change their mind later after they are resurrected. How profound new birth is!
You may ask why not create man to live longer, say 10,000 years, to have more time to choose and be convinced in Jesus? The reason is a) it is unfair to the saved to have to put up with so much evil for so long, and b) man would be convinced he didn't need God because he was able to hold on without dying for a very long time. Man's years is numbered in the flesh because of sin-120 years usually at most (Gen. 6.3). During the millennial kingdom everyone is expected to live at least 100 years of age (Is. 65.20-25).
People don't live as long as they did when sin first began to take hold because sin has consequences. The first few generations after Adam, people lived longer than succeeding generations because sin had not reached its full effect. People never lived over 200 years of age though. Living to 900 and 500 years of age were simply a summary of individuals during that time with the most prominent or spiritually applicable person recorded in the Bible. Sin became more and more difficult to detect, more refined, and more convoluted. The only verdict for the flesh is death. Therefore, Jesus brings us to death with Him on the cross to put the flesh out of a job. Jesus did all He could do! Our death on the cross with Christ doesn't mean the flesh can't rear its ugly head again, but it does give us the full measure of God's provision to put to naught the deeds of the flesh.
In the millennial reign of Christ to come, we do not live as long as Adam did because sin is still working its damaging effects. In the last generation of the millennial kingdom, those who still retain their bodies of flesh and blood will be transferred livingly into the New Earth and shall continue to receive renewal of the bodies from the tree of life, for though sin is finally done away with, the body is inherently weak.
Would man go back to human sacrifices if he was thrown back into antiquity? Does gross domestic product influence the crime rate of a country? I don't think we would engage in child sacrifices, and I don't think we would commit as many crimes as back then. Looking to the future, I don't think anyone thinks we will keep killing each other for millions and billions of years.
Ancient sacrifice of one's own child on an altar to one's god has ceased though there is a remnant. Islam is the remnant of tribes of Canaan. Israel was suppose to wipe them out but did not heed God's word. Notice the consequence of their failure. Every week a Muslim blowing himself up in the name of Allah (Satan).
Fairly recently slavery was no longer permitted. Just this past century, women can vote. There are more democracies than ever before. Polygamy is not legal today. Nobody doubts this. Always compare apples to apples though. For example, you'll have to exclude internet related crimes.
Satan will try to disprove the exponential improvement in conscience with an increase in per capita crime rate, murder rate, war, insensitivity towards women, slavery, even by trying to bring back human sacrifices in some fashion for their gods of infinite regress, e.g. Mormonism. Islam is a deadly religion. They will not relent. See Hadith Volume 9 Number 57 and my letter to Shabir Ally.
Pre-Adamic is are considered Biblically the "dust" of the ground (Gen. 2.7) even the dust of the stars. During this per-endemic period, pre-Adamic men would cease to exist when they died. The Adamic race which includes all souls since about six thousand years ago are all made in God's image, so none of us will cease to exist ever! Salvation is available to us all. God preteritions no one. God wonderfully saves without you needing to know everything about Him. Otherwise, only the smart people would be saved.
Stephen Hawking said there cannot be imploding universes which create new universes, for such hypothetical implosions would not be able to break through the singularity. There is this universe and this universe alone. He even admits that time had a beginning in his picture of a point at the bottom of a badminton shoot. Hawking is admitting there has to be an infinite regress as the only option for his naturalistic world, yet he would be hard pressed to deny the implication of the exponential progression of conscience and the fact we would have happened already having had an eternity to do so which disallow an eternity of the past of cause and effects.
Scientists believe whole heartedly nothing in space-time happens all by itself. There is always a cause. We can observe trillions of causes substantiate this fact; nothing shows otherwise. Therefore, since nature must always have a cause from something, it can't come from nothing. Since the universe can't come from nothing and can't always have existed according Step 1, we are left with few choices for who the uncreated Creator is.
Don't let cunning hucksters try to deceive you by saying what is true of Newtonian and Einsteinian physics is not true of Quantum physics. You can catch a person in the act selling their snake oil and fuzzy logic when they desperately argue for their puff-the-magic-dragon assumption something happened all by itself. It really is quite disingenuous to pick the most complicated subject (Quantum Mechanics) which humans know so very little about and rarely agree on to build your case against God. There are as many quantum theories as there are quantum scientists. If God exists then His proof is available to all generations. "God is no respecter of persons" (Acts 10.34). He is infinitely greater than all of us, no matter how great one of us becomes. The difference between the dullest man and the wisest man is still eternally below God.
Those who mention radioactive decay, particle pairing, vacuums, Higgs, dark energy, dark matter or Bell's Theorem are still unable to prove something comes from nothing. Scientists don't close up shop just because they don't know the cause to something yet! Otherwise atheists might still think the world was flat. Scientists keep searching for causes. Let the evidence lead us where it may. Place in a jar any substance you want that does not have replicating life. Shake it all about. It never turns into life or even RNA.
The First Law of Thermodynamics is violated if "nothing" (that which does not exist) outside the universe can somehow cause the universe. The law expresses that energy can be transformed, i.e. changed from one form to another, but cannot be created or destroyed. What is without energy can't be transformed into energy. Nothing always derives from nothing. If you say the laws outside the universe work differently without causation to bring about the universe, I don't think you can be reasoned with. To "bring about" the universe is a causal relationship, so you can't say it is without causation.
You want to argue you can't disprove a negative? Sure you can. There are no square circles and no married bachelors.
Realize you are just not smart enough to determine the cause to everything in nature, but you can know the ultimate source. You might not ever be able to know the cause to some things. God has not given you the ability to discern all things anyway. Accept it. Get use to it. If there was one last thing you didn't know and you held out for the possibility it could disprove the Creator, you would actually be saying you have to be God to know if God exists. But are you God? Did you always exist? Do you really want to be like Joseph Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Eckhart Tolle and Mirriane Williamson who claim they are God or a god? Can you remember always having existed or having created anything? You're not all-knowing. You don't transcend all things from outside of space and time. You did not die for the sins of the world.
Jesus does have these qualities though. "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works" (Matt. 16.27; cf. Rev. 20.2-7). "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14.6). "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4.12). Since there is only grounds for one uncreated Creator, you would have to ask, where do these others come from who allege to be God competing among themselves? God has no competition in His Triunity; but always perfect harmony and coinherency. God alone is "from everlasting" (Ps. 41.13).
Only one claim on God is ultimately victorious. A personal, revealed God is better than an impersonal, unrevealed and inaccessible one. Only in Christianity does God come down to us to bring us up to Him because we are sinners in need of a solution. A sinner can't save himself. Sin leads to death and the second death which is Hell, an eternal separation from God. Don't accuse God of torturing you for eternity. He implores you not to go there, but to receive His mercy and grace. How do you know what this punishment entails? The fire of judgment is unlike a natural fire which always burns out. Just know what He is doing is completely just. You can't ask Him to allow you to escape Hell to harm His sons and daughters, nor can you ask Him to lessen your suffering in the Lake of Fire since it is just the right dose of suffering punishment you deserve for eternity for your continual and never-ending rejection of the love of God.
Agnosticism is really just thinly veiled atheism since a non-choice is still refusing to accept God and His saving grace. Jesus said, "He that is not with me is against me; he who does not gather with me..." (Matt. 12.30).
I've heard an atheist say, "Since outside the universe there is no time, then the law of cause and effect doesn't apply." Just say to them, "If there is no cause and effect because there is no time then the universe would not have come into existence in the timeless singularity."
The universe requires a cause "on earth as it is in heaven" (Matt. 6.10). God created Heaven. In the Matrix, the Merovingian said there is only one real truth: cause and effect, action and reaction. I agree.
"In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word is God" (John 1.1). Jesus is the Word. "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not" (John 1.10).
I really like this logic. "If all known possibilities are impossible, what we deemed impossible must be true" (Spock on Star Trek). "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains [in the running], no matter how improbable, must be the truth" (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Homes). How can God who is not limited by time not be allowed to bring time into existence? How can the maximally great God not be big enough to transcend time? "All things were made by him [Jesus]; and without him was not any thing made that was made" (John 1.3).
Even if by our intelligence we could produce replicating life it would still point back to God because it took intelligence to produce this life. We theists have our bases well covered, anticipating the atheists next move. The atheist has a poker hand with so few outs, he is sure to lose. I bet all or nothing on my God as God does on us, i.e., ultimate destination for the saved is Heaven and Earth come together in the New City, and for the unsaved eternal damnation in Hell to be eternally separated from Him.
The Atheist is like a rabid beast, cornered, as he runs out of options. Satan is trying to get you to assume something. Like in the movie Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio (2010), the simplest idea can be planted in your brain by you or someone else if you are open to the suggestion with massive even irreparable damage. As long as he can get you to assume prodding you to sin later is easy. The Word of God is "sharper than any twoedged sword" (Heb. 4.12). By the Spirit of Truth, He is able to dissect the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The uncreated Creator would necessarily be greater than a created creator, so we are talking about the former, not the latter. If the uncreated has a cause, then it is not uncreated. When you claim someone or something created God you are no longer talking about God of the Bible because one of His attributes is uncreated. Don't argue against a god who was caused, but the challenge before you is to disprove the uncreated Creator. Jesus created all things. "For by him [Jesus] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist" (Col. 1.16,17). "All things were made by him[Jesus]; and without him was not any thing made that was made" (John 1.3). Step 3 is simply pleading with you not to misrepresent God of the Bible because it happens so often.
God has diversity in His unity and unity in His diversity. This is how He reveals Himself to us. We pray to the Father through the Son by the Spirit. Whereas the god of Islam has unity but no diversity. Hinduism has diversity but no unity with many competing gods. Mormonism has no oneness or unity but lots of competing diversity, e.g. in Mormonism Jesus competes with his brother Lucifer. There are over 100 Mormon sects. Atheists have no oneness or unity but lots of diversity. They can't even agree on the word "atheism" it has so many different meanings. But Christians accept the deity of Jesus, He is the 2nd Person in the unity of the Trinity, and He was resurrected the third day.
Atheists may think they get along but history shows atheists are killers when their resources are at risk, e.g. Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Pol Pot, to name a few, killed 200 million in the 20th century in wars based on natural selection.
Jesus always claimed to be equal with the Father. God of the Bible claims to be "alone...from everlasting" (1 Tim. 6.16; Hab. 1.12) with perfect clarity, wisdom, righteousness and holiness. He is omnipotent, immutable (unchanging), transcendent, omniscient and omnipresent. He is incapable of sinning for that goes against His very nature. Not once has He ever sinned from all we know about Him in the 66 books of God's word. The Trinity is 3 Persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit. It is not that God can't sin or choose to do evil, but He won't and never does because He is perfect always and forever! That's the God you can trust even when you don't understand the problems you are facing.
Many questions are put towards God of the Bible such as, why do bad things happen? Because man is fallen, sin came into world. Consequently, Adam was locked out of the Garden of Eden which was the one sure safe place for man to dwell. Sin has its consequences. God the Son came to redeem women and men, and the world (Matt. 19.28).
When you accuse God of allowing murder and rape, these things happen anyway even if God did not exist, so aren't you accusing your own world-view as being flawed? This is a mindless double standard. But praise God He will not let atrocities go on forever even though to us it sure seems like it has been going on for a long time. In the backdrop of 13.7 billion years, a couple thousand years is less than a grain of sand on the Earth. Surely you can give God some liberty in how He runs things.
In a world of humanism and naturalism, evil could potentially go on for eternity or till heat death finally makes life unlivable. But with God, the eventual destination is either Heaven or Hell. God might not be able to prevent evil for a period of time otherwise He would infringe on our free will when He wants fellowship with humans. He could not have fellowship with sovereign beings. Just because God is benevolent and omnipotent is no reason to think He must disallow sin from happening, for that would not be a perfect world then. At best it would be an amoral world or a world of automatons. God wants a real relationship with sovereign free-willed beings. Man must be allowed to sin and evil to run its course for us to appreciate our need for dependency on God.
If you are going to try to disprove God, remember I am on this hill, don't go argue on another hill. "For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together" (Mark 14.56). The reason Step 3 is vitally part of the Proof is because this error of misrepresenting God of the Bible seems to never end, such as, accusing the Israelites of annihilating the tribes in Canaan. Satan even attacks with the truth. Israel was defending itself. By accusing Israel you are accusing God your creator. Those tribes no longer exist today. Generation after generation they would not cease their practice of child sacrifices. When you accuse God of cancelling this evil out, you're defending this evil. This really was God's only option.
The children of these 10 tribes would grow up to continue the same practice. Those tribes no longer exist, their practices abolished; whereas Israel remains to show forth God's power, justice and promise against all odds. Even Hitler couldn't wipe them out. They began with only 318 fighting men (Gen. 14.14). How they survived is a miracle! The reason God intended for His suffering people (enslaved for 430 years) to come into the land of milk and honey was because the inhabitants of Canaan were so utterly evil: "they shall come back here...for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full" (Gen. 15.16). Israel wiped out their practice of child sacrifices.
Don't make the mistake of accusing Israel of genocide. What would it be like for you and your family if your next door neighbors warred with you so you could not sleep at night? Let's say they sacrificed their own children, and when they ran out of their own, they would steal your children in the middle of the night. How do you feel about that? Treat others as you would like to be treated. If it is alright for you to defend yourself in this situation then why not Israel? Will you respond righteously like Israel did? Thankfully, no society is so evil today you would have to wipe them all out which speaks to our improvement along the exponential progression of conscience.
Israel was used by God to eradicate such evil. Generation after generation even a small remnant of the remaining tribes would continue to practice human sacrifices and other abominations. Many times because Israel did not fulfill their mission, they incurred further attacks from neighboring tribes. It is a fact that if Israel did not defend itself it would no longer exist today. Canaan was a battle zone. The fruits of the land of milk and honey would go to a God fearing people only! Israel's land remains divided even to this day as prophesied until Christ returns. They still don't own the entire land all the way to the Euphrates River, but the prophecy is fulfilled, the Israelites would become a nation again shortly before the return of Christ. Finally, after 2500 years, Israel became a nation again in 1948.
When you talk about the Crusades or Inquisition, realize that is not Christian, but men of the world falsely using the word of God and the name of Christ. The Bible warns about this in Matthew 13 (unsaved tares that try to look like the saved wheat) and Revelation 17 (religious Rome). Where did Jesus do anything of the kind?
Put aside discussion about the inerrancy of the Bible for the moment to focus just on what most skeptical scholars agree about Paul and the disciples, for Christianity all hinges on the resurrection. Most skeptical scholars concede at the very least, the disciples truly believed they saw Jesus resurrected, so if you are unable to find a naturalistic alternate explanation that fits the data, then you are as much admitting Jesus is God.
Most critical scholars concede twelve facts. The prophecies fulfilled are mathematically impossible unless divinely ordained. The appearances are so well multiply attested. Since no naturalistic theory can be found to fit the data, the necessary conclusion must follow. "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3.18).
We can apply the same principle to the supernatural realm we applied to the natural realm in Step 1. If there had been an eternity of the past of cause and effects, mankind would not still be sinning to the extent it still does. If infinite regress existed in the supernatural realm, we would have happened already, having had an eternity to do so.
This is not to say man always existed in the past, but if there was an eternity of the past of cause and effects, mankind would have approximated into that alleged past. What approximates into eternity for all tense and purposes is considered to have always existed. This is more than enough time for man not to still be sinning to the extent we still do. He would have happened already, having had an eternity to do so.
There could not have been an eternity of the past of cause and effects of gods creating gods, or supernatural phenomena causing supernatural, because you would have derived from that past eternity. Please don't put forward the argument, "but man didn't always exist since the universe is only 13.7 billion years old." You're missing the point. If there was an eternity of the past of cause and effects, mankind would have derived from that alleged infinite regress, having approximated into it so we would have existed for far longer than would be needed not to still be sinning to the extent we still do.
You donít really need to mention the exponential progression of conscience as part of the Proof, but it does personalize it. You can simply say we would have happened already having had an eternity to do so and we should never have existed because there would still have been an eternity still going on so we would never be reached.
The 4 Step Proof for God can from Step 4 loop back to Step 1 and holds no assumptions by just letting the evidence lead us where it may.
Before time God decided His creation will have Three Heavens (2 Cor. 12.2)--a Paradise above (3rd Heaven), realm of fallen spirits if they fell (2nd Heaven), and our universe (1st Heaven). God also created timeless unawares called Hades or Sheol. Hades is not considered Heaven or Hell. The good side of Hades is called Paradise below or Abraham's bosom. Christians will be resurrected together (1 Thess. 4.15-17) from the good side of Hades to come before the Judgment-Seat to receive reward or loss of reward. The bad side of Hades is where the Rich Man went and the unsaved go when they die. They too will be resurrected but separated by 1000 years to the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into Hell.
We know sin needs payment and is not allowed to go unchecked. We see this everyday in the world. There are consequences to the defilement of sin. If you murder someone, you belong in jail. The only way to prevent your second death-eternal separation from God-is by receiving the perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ, who entered into the world to be the substitute for you to pay the penalty of sin. Sin renders the flesh utterly corruptible leading to death. It cannot be fixed or refined though we often try. We know the old man must die on the cross with Christ because sin entered, exciting the flesh and stirring the old man to sin through the body of sin.
Sin that is not absolved and the spirit that is not regenerated or quickened leave one without life and no ability to commune with God in union with Christ which leads to perdition. New birth, spiritual birth, second birth or born-again are all terms synonymous with new creation. Our old man dies to the old creation. As sojourners we are in the world but not of the world. In the old creation, Adam never attained in the Garden what those who are born-again have since he never ate of the tree of life which typifies Christ.
Jesus said eat of my flesh and drink of His blood. When many disciples heard this they walked away (John 6.47-66). They were never born-again, because they refused to eat of His flesh and drink of His blood. Initially they may have appeared to follow Christ but it was not real only superficial. When you eat something you take it all in. When you drink something you let it go down all the way. Salvation won't come unless you are in it to stay by placing your trust in the God who keeps when you admit you can't save yourself or keep yourself saved.
The first God-conscious man was the first Adam. Jesus is the second Adam (1 Cor. 15.47), the last Adam (v.45) and firstfruits of the new creation by virtue of His resurrection and ascension to Third Heaven. Enoch and Elijah when raptured were not taken to Third Heaven. They will yet return as the Two Witnesses. It is appointed unto man once to die so this is within God's purview. Through Jesus perfection is attainable. He is the firstfruits of many brethren who will be pillars in the New City of the New Earth. We will be without sin. God and the Lamb will be the center of the New City, and we shall see His face (Rev. 22.1,3,4). If you see the Son you see the Father since Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. No man can see the Father, but through the Son we may see Him.
To be included in God's new creation, first you will need to give up your self-centered directed life to depend on and place your trust fully in Him. One must be a willing recipient of the gift of repentance and faith for salvation to receive eternal life which is promised to all who willingly accept Him in their hearts (John 3.16,18). Only then can you begin to grow in spiritual life to be a spiritual man or woman. Though people come from many directions we all must go through that same door of salvation to enter the kingdom.
Hell serves a vital purpose just like jails do in our society, to keep billions of unsaved souls from harming God's people whom He so loves. To annihilate the image of God is impossible. We are all made in the God's image so you can't cease to exist. You will be resurrected! The question is, before the 1000 years for the saved or after for the unsaved?
The perfect sacrifice could only be God Himself, the Son of God. God would never allow a lesser substitute. Before the foundations of the world, God set out His plan by His infinite foreknowledge to erect obedience on mankind through the perfect obedience Jesus showed to the Father. You will know no greater peace, love, joy, patience and comfort. "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control" (Gal. 5.22,23). To experience these and more submission is the key. You know within yourself if your are submitting to God's law or not.
Some atheists have tried to say, God being uncreated would have ended up creating man at some point approximating into the eternity of the past. Man would have nearly an eternity along the exponential progression of conscience to be perfected without sin, yet sin is still present, so God must not exist. The answer to this contention is:
(1) Since it is God's prerogative to create outside of time, our existence comes into being when He determines it. Nature doesn't have this prerogative, but only reacts. So what applies to nature does not apply to God. A person at the 13.7 billion mark could say the universe has been around just that long. A person at the 137 billion year mark could say the universe has been around 137 billion years. But they can't comment on a time before time because there was none. God is timeless.
(2) There is no time with God since He operates outside of time, and as far as we know the best evidence we have is time began when the universe started 13.7 billion years ago. Therefore, we are not allowed to arbitrarily imposed upon God when He was suppose to create us. How can the lesser impose upon the greater? Where is the humility in that?
There are so many problems with the many variants of theory, not the least of which Stephen Hawking says this can't occur because an implosion could not burst through the singularity. Aside from that there are many other reasons cycles are considered by philosophers and scientists to be impossible:
All things approximate into the alleged past eternity of cause and effects, so our present universe would have happened already;
Cycles are meaningless and without purpose which deadens your conscience to think on those terms. Nothing really matters in the end. Life is pointless. Do whatever you want. After about 80 to 100 years or so the result is the same - death and annihilation;
It has been proven the universe will not implode because it has been expanding at an exponential rate due to dark energy. It will never implode but may eventually reach an equilibrium;
Cycles lack explanatory scope. There is no reason for them or multiverses. They add unnecessary complexity, multiplying explanations upon explanations in a grand display of parsimonious extravagance. This theory has no evidence. It is completely speculative beyond the realm of reasonability so don't take pride in your out of the box thinking.
If aliens brought us here, you have to ask what caused them since they did not create themselves? Would a loving Creator leave His creation unattended to fall into alien hands? Tom Cruise and John Travolta didn't think that one through very well. Would God allow a created being to create God-conscious sentient life and mishandle it?
There are over 800 variables for life to exist (Journeying Towards The Spiritual, Hugh Ross). Dividing into the number estimated planets in the universe, the probability life exists on another planet is less than 1 in a million (The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus, Gary R. Habermas & Mike Licona). Even if there was such a planet that could contain life, this doesn't suggest it would have life. An unconscious universe without conscience and conscious direction can't create conscious beings with a conscience.
Animals are cursed (Rom. 8.19-22) today by man's sin in the world. They've even have had a hard time of it before man came on the scene which is why God never gave animals God-consciousness, for that would hardly be fair by what they have had to endure at the hands of evil spirits and men. They are the brunt of abuse by the fallen angels, demons and now man mistreats them. Man was responsible for ruling over the whole earth and all the creatures but Adam was disobedient and fell from grace. God knew man would rebel as soon as he was given God-consciousness, but He still had to do the right thing and warn Adam and Even not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. His response to their rebellion was foreseen.
There are three groups of animals to address: a) dinosaurs that existed before God made the earth desolate and waste (Gen. 1.2), b) pre-endemic animals during the restoration (after Gen. 1.2), and c) animal species that have existed the past 6000 years.
Demons brought killing into the world and deformed the creatures of the earth into dinosaurs. Lucifer and his fallen angels fell from 3rd Heaven to 2nd Heaven then proceeded to impact the development of the existing creatures on earth. There were bejeweled cities the Bible says in a first Garden before the Garden of Eden, but we have no fossil remains of intelligent beings or archaeological evidence of any such cities. Hence, these beautiful cities were in 2nd Heaven.
From the vantage point of 2nd Heaven, Satan and the fallen angels thought to manipulate Earth's creatures through possession. Dinosaurs were vicious. The fallen angels ruled over spirit beings which we know to be demons that inhabited the dinosaurs. God responded by making the earth "desolate and waste" (Gen. 1.2), casting those demons into the deep (abyss), into the depths below the realm of our known visible universe. Satan and his angels remained in 2nd Heaven; more rights were taken away from them. They were and will always remain irredeemable. They knew their choice was an eternal one. Man received the grace of this life to decide if he wished to receive common grace or the salvation of the cross. The restoration of creation followed sometime later which was summed up by the six literal days.
Man's body was formed from "dust" (Gen 2.7) over 13.7 billion years. Man was made in God's image (Gen. 1.26) whom God created with a spirit of God-consciousness and a soul of self-consciousness about six thousand years ago when He breathed the breath of life into man's body, directly creating man's spirit, and when it made contact with the body, the soul life was formed. Man became a "living soul" with a "soulical body" (outerman) and a spirit (innerman). God will give man a resurrected body at the consummation of this age (the "last day" John 11.24) like Jesus received a newly clothed physical body.
People never lived hundreds of years of age in the Old Testament. Rather the person with the amazing age was a summary of a number of individuals over a span of time, similar to how the six days sum up the period of restoration. One individual was the representative figure of the group or the message to be spiritually imparted. We known many cultures in ancient history used this same approach to speak honorably of their ancestors. It was a particular genre or way of speaking. It's not false. They were summing up a particular line. So it is acceptable to still add up the ages in the Old Testament to come to 4004 BC to when the first Adamic man was born. Just like Jesus who is God could be born into the world, God the Father can create the first sinless Adamic man by placing the seed into the ovary of a pre-Adamic woman to produce a living soul made in God's image. Amen.
Animals kill not just because of man's sin, but because of Satan's sin. A demon came into the serpent in the Garden showing death pervaded the animal kingdom already, including plant life, even in the restoration of creation. When God split the firmament on day two, it was not considered a "good day" in Genesis 1 like the other days, because some of those demons that were cast into the deep unavoidably escaped, would not remain in their own place, but would inhabit the bodies of some animals on earth. That is their unnatural unrelenting propensity as disembodied spirits. They seek to possess bodies, preferably humans than swine. When God restored creation in the representative six "summary days", it was not possible for animals to avoid those demons. Animals have had a rough time of it. And this is why animals can be vicious though not as vicious as dinosaurs which God wiped out when He made the Earth desolate and waste (Gen. 1.2). For this reason we know death existed before the Garden of Eden.
As a result of God's foreknowledge, the Garden of Eden was limited to a particular safe place on planet Earth, the boundaries of which were not to be breached by Adam and Eve, to rule the world but according to God's timing to extend out to other areas of the world. Outside the Garden of Eden lies danger from Satan, the fallen angels, demons, weather, volcanoes and animals. The serpent came into the Garden and man was immediately tempted as only we could be since we have God-consciousness. God's plan is for man to defeat the fallen angels and demons. He likes our involvement. We are worthy, therefore, to be with Him for eternity in the New City if we receive His saving grace. Even the angels will move from their position now to being below men. They have been working all this time for our redemption (Rev. 5).
Eventually, Christ's finished work on the cross will usher in the millennial kingdom when He returns in Person (Zech. 14.4, Acts. 1.11, Rev. 1.7). The lamb will lie down next to the lion, and the lion will eat grass (Isaiah 11.6-9). That was figurative. There is no indication there will be any animals after the millennial kingdom in the New City and the New Earth. Perhaps we will have outgrown them by then even cute little puppies. The resurrected-saved will have lost all desire for sexual relations. We will not have bodies of flesh that can perish but resurrected physical body. There is no marriage in the New City. "But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage" (Luke 20.35).
However, those transferred livingly from the last generation of the millennial to live on the New Earth outside the New City will continue to procreate in their bodies of flesh and blood. They too will live forever, but will not receive resurrected bodies. This reveals a diversity of God's design: those who live outside the New City on the New Earth with bodies of flesh and blood and those who live in the New City with resurrected bodies but who do not procreate. Those who live outside the New City will enter the twelve gates and receive renewal from the tree of life which bears fruit monthly. This is literal.
God will never extinguish the soul of man, not even in Hell because once God creates man with the ability of God-consciousness, it is unrighteous to annihilate him, for we have received the knowledge and awareness of our Creator. It would pain us to know we would cease to exist. Yet God cannot lie. All men have this awareness without exception even though it may seem like some are oblivious. In actuality, they shut their minds down like zombies for Satan. The flesh can rationalize an ideational world of their own making. He never treats us as instrumental value as a means to an end. We are intrinsic value to God because God wants to walk with us one day after we have been raised up and return with Him (Jude 14,15). This is what God longs for and what His whole purpose is. The pinnacle is reached in the New City on the New Earth for eternity to commune with His chosen ones He chose before the foundations of the world.
He created us for His good pleasure and created out of His glory to receive His guiding care. He surrounds Himself with His glory in creating us and sustaining us. This is revealed to us by His Holy Spirit in the word of God and through the power of eternal life. The experience of Israel under the law was to show us we are utterly incapable of keeping the law. This points us to Christ, the only one who was able to keep the law perfectly. Jesus came to fulfill the law and fill it up (Matt. 5.17). I think you can place your trust in the only person who was able to keep the law. He entered into our regenerated spirits by His Spirit. He made us new creations, to lead us into His truths and intuitive knowledge. No man has seen or can conceive the things God has planned for those who love Him. "But, as it is written, 'What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him'" (1 Cor. 2.9).
We have new life which is the same new spirit that those under the law received, except that the Holy Spirit did not reside in them, but came upon them and moved among them. That is what distinguishes the Old and New Testaments. The veil was not yet rent under the law. The indwelling Holy Spirit did not commence until Christ was raised to the right hand of the Father. The Sabbath is now past because the Holy Spirit is our rest. The Lordís day, Sunday, is usually when believers gather. Sunday is a day of spiritual and vibrant activity. You can work on Sundays. Pentecost occurred on Pentecost. It has nothing to do with the Sabbath which was a sign for the Jews alone they were Godís chosen people to be the center of all nations. But for them to be saved, individually each must come to Christ. Not until Jesus died on the cross was the Holy Spirit able to dwell the spirits of believers according to John 3.16. The veil was rent representing His flesh dying on the cross for our sins. After 40 days from the day Jesus was resurrected, only then would the Holy Spirit fill the Church. Jesus entered the Holy of Holies which is our spirit by His Holy Spirit at Pentecost. 3000 were saved.
For we have become "a royal priesthood" (1 Pet. 2.9). We do not bring our prayers to the intermediary priesthood of Levites. All Christians are saints and priests. The angels, millions of them, take our prayers to God directly symbolized as golden bowls of incense "which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5.8). The highest order of angels is given in Revelation 4 and 5: "four living beings [the angels that represent the four main elements and four types of creatures on earth] and the twenty-four elders [the eldest elders of the universe are 24 archangels] fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense--the prayers of God's people!" (Rev. 5.8).
Many have tried to overturn the Proof given in God's word. Eventually the sun and all stars will die out, but the universe will never collapse on itself. Scientist are in agreement dark energy is a greater expansive field than the gravitational force of dark matter and matter. Dark energy pushes outwardly, expanding the universe at an exponential rate in spite of the pervasive force of gravity pressing in. It turns out that the force of gravity which seems so all encompassing ironically is weak and tentatively the avenue through which we are raised "to the throne" (Rev. 7.9) because it is being released or escaping out of the cosmos. Scientists say this great force of gravity is actually quite weak as gravitons escape out of the universe which I believe to be to the 2nd and 3rd Heavens above. Only God could create such vast complexity.
The amazing feature of quarks and other particles which make up the Standard Model of quantum mechanics is that they have no mass. But the Higgs field which scientists are also sure about is an all pervading field throughout the universe that activates these particle to make them heavier or lighter; so for example, we can move our arm up and down slowly instead of moving it at the speed of light which would happen without the Higgs field giving mass to the particles in our arm.
The Higgs Field and the corresponding negative energy field which are necessary to keep this universe together with dark energy could activate particles in our body to allow for a rapture. Read here. There are a lot of quantum things going on underneath. With the most powerful telescope we have we can only see down to 10^33 level, but the universe we know goes down at least to the 10^120 level, so we are only seeing a fraction of what we know is there. And it is in all these deeper physical complexes, you can see how God has a lot to work with where He can resurrect us and keep us for eternity. With the ten dimensions which scientists are sure now exist that are all curled up, one can see different domains they encompass such as Hades, the Abyss, Heaven, Hell, 2nd Heaven, Outer Darkness, etc.
The reason why unregenerates, unsaved, outside the Kingdom of Heaven can't sense or reason out this Proof for God is because God has not given it to them to be able to understand. The Holy Spirit will not woo a person who continues to put up a wall between himself and God.
"Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given" (Matt. 13.9-11).
The intuition, communion and conscience of their spirits are dead to God by their own choice, full of excuses and intellectual dishonesty. One self-exalted, self-righteous rationalization is when Atheists accuse Christians of being afraid of death when most Christians never even came to Christ thinking of death. I know I never thought of death. All I remembered was "all things summed up in Christ" (Eph. 1.10). I knew it! I really knew it. It was revealed by God. God gave me revelation when I presented myself honestly to Him. He bestowed me with His grace when I let down the wall I had erected like Atheists do. I didn't even know about the 4 Step Proof for God or Minimal Facts Approach imbedded within the 4 Step Proof that prove God exists and Jesus is God by His resurrection. So I received much less grace than you do now, now that you have read these word.
"But God hath revealed unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Cor. 2.10,14).
"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou...for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 16.17). An unregenerate is unable to know he has a sin nature because he is lost in his fallen nature and he prefers to remain there. It is too scary for him to let go of the control he has had of himself for so many decades. But God provides sufficient grace so he is without excuse. Neo said in the Matrix, "the problem is choice!" Those who take the red pill realize this after their choice is made; before, all they can do is take the red pill with humility and unsatisfactory feelings for this world. They don't realize it fully until they come out of the Matrix on the other side which is the true reality. Those who remain in the matrix of their sin nature, self and the world of Satan, for Satan is the god of this world, have this "unspoken, subterranean motivation" (The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel, p. 244) for carrying on as they do.
Gary R. Habermas records 39 ancient source of Jesus Christ, citing 100 facts. 7 of those sources are secular. Read The Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee to experience the dividing of your spirit, soul and body. Read the Bible. What man cannot do, save Himself, God can! But you must fulfill the condition for Him to enter with His uncreated life.
"At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes" (Matt. 11.25). Fallen man, still unregenerate and so ignorant, acts and thinks as though he created himself and is the center of the universe. The pride of life! What strange faith this is to believe in atheism, agnosticism or any other faith with no basis for doing so. Isn't that called blind faith? That can't be satisfactory. The Bible says "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (1 Thess. 5.21).
If you can have blind faith in atheism, think what may come if you have a faith that is proven in accepting the way, the truth and the life in Christ Jesus for forgiveness, eternal life and the Holy Spirit to indwell your spirit and guide you in all things. I'll take the Holy Spirit over the evil spirit, spirit of antichrist and atheism any day. How about you?
I was once like you before going through the door of salvation. All you need to do is knock and it shall be given unto you. Jesus said, "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Luke 11.9).
