The Ministry of Strife

This is always the as-sumption of the Leeites. They always as-sume that no one else loves the Lord more than them, or in fact has any greater standing before the Lord than they do. They automatically a-sume that all the rest of Christianity is "off", or "poor."

A famous, and often repeated saying of Witness Lee was "poor, poor Christianity." When he said this it was always in the context of comparing his ministry with others. He too always as-sumed that there was no other source of "riches" besides his ministry. From the very beginning Witness Lee's ministry has been a ministry of strife, always wanting to prove that he was the best or that his ministry was the best; and that the "churches" brought forth through his ministry were the best.

In an elders' meeting in Pasadena California, in 1988, he confessed that since 1945 he looked and couldn't find another person speaking as the oracle of God. Imagine that! He scanned the whole globe and came to the conclusion that he alone was the heir apparent (in their way of thinking) to Watchman Nee, as the sole spokesman for God on the earth. Please remember this folks: LIVING STREAM MINISTRY = MINISTRY OF STRIFE. That says it all.

Why is it important to know this? Because these people want to be recognized as being the direct decendants of the ministry of Watchman Nee. Well, I'm quite certain that Watchman Nee held no such concept of anyone being decended from him. If they can provide some evidence that he might have had those leanings, then I would say that as a humble and most talented instrument in the Lord's hands, he was fallable, and wrong on that point. Unlike Lee, Nee, and those who appreciate his ministry today, was/are willing to admit to his fallability. That does not take away from his stature as a servant of the Lord, but only adds to it - something that the brainwashed Witness Lee followers could never understand.

However, if one wants as-sociation with Watchman Nee it is important that they be willing to be honest. The idea of comparing themselves with other Christians to prove they are better is not something that will leave the Local Church sect/denomination. So it must be exposed for what it is. God has not called us to strife. Our gospel should not be that we have the best of anything.

The Local Church preaches "another gospel." They will tell you that they preach Christ. Well EVERY group claims to preach Christ and does in some way or another. The Catholic Church preaches Christ. But an examination of thier teaching and practices will prove that they preach Mary above Christ. By the same token it should be known that while the Local Chruch claimes to preach Christ, all of thier time effort and money goes into trying to prove that Witness Lee had the best ministry. Their gospel is the gospel of Witness Lee. To be in good standing with them, one must accept Lee as being the oracle of God and God's Apostle for this age. They dance around it, evade the issue, and cover up; but when you get right down to it that's what they are all about.
