RULES & REGULATIONS
Strict observations of all rules and regulations; and respect is the very foundation of Martial Art. We practice this very discipline and place extreme importance on it.

Salutation
Generally, it is only polite to address another person with Mr. or Mdm; etc. At our training, we adopt addressing our elder or Instructor by using Mr, Sir or Master. However, away from our training hall, it will be acceptable to address another by our name or as in the custom of the country.

Bowing
Bowing is the physical expression of our respect and greeting to others. Therefore, when upon entering our training hall, as well as any other martial art hall, bow to the most senior in the training as a sign of respect. The senior may be busy or otherwise and may not acknowledge your salutation, this is perfectly in order and will be fine for you to proceed on.

Meditation
We observe a minute of silence at the beginning and close of training. This is called meditation and it is done down on our knees and sitting on our heels. It can also be done by standing to attention. The meditation is for us to reflect on our resolution, progress and persuits.

Training Class
At the start of each class, we all salute to the Flags as a mark of respect to our Country, the Country where Tang Soo Do originated and our group by its flag. Then we bow to our Instructor in greeting. Similarly, when we finish our training, we repeat the same salutation to the flags and , as expression of appreciation, we bow to the Instructor and the Senior. On other occasions we also exercise this expression (bowing) as apology, goodwill and so on. These will be introduce as training progress.

Obedience
At all time, instructions, directions and commands by Instructor must be observed immediately. Student may not raise any objection on the spot but may seek clarification at a later time.
