Sandy Cove is a three-book series for the Young Adult market, focusing on the teenage and young adult inhabitants of a gated property in an affluent area of Vancouver, Canada.
It was originally published online, debuting in June 1998, with 10 page stories appearing every month until it ended in 2004. The site contained character profiles, polls, games and other interactive features. When the series was finished, it was unable to be published traditionally because it had appeared online for the general public for so many years.
With lots of hard work, Sandy Cove was self-published, with the first book being released August 15, 2006. Book 2 followed in January 2007, with Book 3 close behind on April 9, 2007. All three books are available for purchase from Lulu.com. They are in mass market pocket paperback size and retail for $15 USD each.
