About Us -Valley Squadron
To join
- Upon successful
completion of The Boating Course you are eligible to join the
Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons
- Membership is
extended to all new graduates at the graduation ceremony
- Graduates can also
join at any time by contacting the Valley
Membership Bridge Officer who can also answer queries about
membership
Benefits of membership

advanced courses such as
Piloting, and Advanced Piloting
- Opportunity to become
involved in teaching boating courses as either proctors or
instructors
- Participate in
cruises
- Enjoy meeting other
boaters in our social events throughout the year
- Receive the Valley
Squadron's award winning newsletter, The Gam, as well as
the CPS supplement, The Port Hole, in bi-monthly issues
of Canadian Yachting
- Opportunity to become
an active volunteer in the
Canadian Power and
Sail Squadrons organization
- Become part of the
Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons family which includes 34,000
members across Canada as well as our sister organization, the
United
States Power Squadrons. Membership is transferable to
other squadrons.
- Receive the CPS flag
upon
graduation and fly it on your boat
so that you are recognized as a CPS member who has received some
formal boating training
