Robertson II

Just returned from Mayne Island, Aug. 20th.  Robertson II now stripped bare of masts and all deck structures.  Last week  we saw a salvage crew attaching airbags to her hull and slightly floating her off, but the other day she was still there and no salvage crew in sight.   Photos and links. DUES/RENEWALS for 2007

Each Year, members are invoiced to renew their membership.  This year we will be changing database and Internet payment system in March.  Therefore, invoices will be mailed the last week of March.  A “Second Notice” will be sent in May for lapsing members.  A member must be a current active member to receive a renewal invoice.

This year (2007), members who renew their membership before May 31st receive a $3.00 early renewal discount ($1.50 for family members).  This amount is subtracted from the HQ dues portion and does not affect the squadron or district dues. This year, we strongly recommend that members renew on-line.  By renewing on-line and registering for the new highly secure CPS Members Moorings and personal profile access.  Members that renew on-line, and validate and keep their e-mail address current, will receive an early renewal notification by e-mail in early 2008.

Please note that in 2008 the Early renewal discount will be eliminated and replaced by an equivalent Early Internet Renewal discount for members who will pay their renewal online before a paper invoice is sent on March 1st 2008.  No member renewing by regular mail will be entitled to the Early discount in 2008.  Paying on-line is more secure than sending cheques or credit card information by mail and ensure that no credit card or banking information is kept at CPS HQ.  Also, paying on-line also reduces manpower costs.  Manually processing thousands of cheques and renewals is very labour intensive and Head Quarters must hire temporary staff to work through this demanding period.

Dues payments will continue to be accepted until December 31; however, members who renew their membership after June 30 are considered “Late renewals”.  These members are NOT eligible for pro-rated dues.  They must pay full dues in order to renew their membership.  After January 1, any dues payments received will be processed as rejoins.  These members will lose their continued membership status (Member since).

Dues for 2007 before discount      Regular  $43.50

                                                         Family member $21.75
