last modified november sixth, two thousand and three: here’s two poems by w. b. keckler of harrisburg (pa):

             ANOTHER BEAM

To make stereoscopic steps in a minute
organism suddenly, maybe a dinoflagellate
red without a mood?

            The ball bounces.  Repeating sun.

It is saintly to counter atoms
in a new alphabet of the spirit,
            transrational
mountain of voices

                          I've a strong inkling to.

Old desire is myriad and incubates.

     Under my skin, all identification
                is scurrilous tickle of you,

                       zone of ratios.  My elegy

              is a bird all curve,

                             the air swimming through.

                   BELATED LETTER

I stretch my neck as a wading bird apes the latest sculpture
to please you, when you pass on the sidewalk, thinking of us.
A different situation gnaws at mind, fissionable material the way
grass shimmers in wind many directions at once.  Speaking is a blob.
I don't want to distort the smaller petals of mind that fall now.
It is another season, a gradation you waited for, its texture
of an old movie splintered, its backbone broken and filled with
dust.  How can I forget even the disconnected number of the room
that no longer exists?  Thinking as a dragonfly moves from waterlily
to waterlily, I touch your hand's soft paper.  Everything random
resolves into your body, and my mind relaxes, breathes deeply
under the dark water of thinking.  I use my blood's gills.

text, altercop, bruised paper,

check the reality, ghoat,

blank purpose, turn the copy

greater zero, night collapse,

freedom from information,

famous chemicals, this half,

a pinch of stuff, om’s om,

trance science, there’s a big

just an original, go fish!,
