Employee Assistance

How you feel about your job, and how you are treated in that job is enormously influential in determining how you feel about yourself. If you are poorly paid, unappreciated or are harassed, your self-esteem will suffer and infect other areas of your life.

In today's world the likelihood of remaining in one job through the course of one's working life is remote. Adaptation to change is stressful whether you are an employee or self-employed.

My primary goal in therapy is to help clients determine how they want to be treated and how they can obtain such treatment. Secondary goals include stress reduction programs and techniques, career choices, planning for the future, and improving interpersonal skills.

I consult with corporate clients, governmental agencies and community organizations to provide mediation services, crisis intervention and workshops on a variety of topics including diversity training, burnout prevention and vicarious traumatization.
