Where to Stay

Victoria is a tourist's city, with a wide array of lodging possibilities, including bed and breakfasts, downtown hotels, and rooms at the nearby University of Victoria. Where you chose to stay will depend on what you plan to do in your free time.

Visitors interested in hiking and quiet-time (and a quick commute to classes) will find the University of Victoria, known for its on-campus movie theatre and bunny population, a suitable place to stay. Those interested in shopping, fine dining and walks by the harbour might find a hotel or B&B more to their liking.

One of Victoria's most distinguished places to stay is The Empress, a historic waterfront hotel in the heart of downtown Victoria. It's well-known for it's high tea, which is open to guests and non-guests alike. Hotel Grand Pacific is well-known five-star and environmentally responsible hotel located only a few blocks from several restaurants and Hermann's Jazz Club.
