Vancouver Canoe Polo Club (VCPC)

The Vancouver Dragons are a canoe polo club that practices on a weekly basis year-round.  In the summer we play outdoors at Deep Cove and in the winter we retreat to the SFU pool.  Dragons range in skill level from new players who have never been in a kayak to current and former national team members.  VCPC is affiliated with the Whitewater Kayaking Association of BC (WKABC).

A combination of kayaking and water polo, canoe polo is a full contact sport.  For an introduction to the rules of the sport, check out www.canoepolo.com.

Polo at Deep Cove
When:     Monday nights, 6.30pm until dark
Location:
In front of Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak's beachfront location
Cost:       $5/session for gear rental.
New players need to pay $10 for insurance their first time out.

NOTE:
The rental trailer will NOT be at Deep Cove on July 21 and 28 due to Canoe Polo Worlds.  The VCPC Players who are playing and volunteering at Worlds are the ones with trailer hitches.  Folks with their own boats will not be affected.

G&F Financial Group provided financial support to send two athletes to the Canadian women's national team selection camp.  Check out the BC Athletes page for player profiles.
