The TenTec RX320 HF receiver is the small black box sitting on top of the Pro2032 scanner. With the exception of a power switch on the rear, it has no external controls. All functions are controlled by a PC via the RS232 port.

Attached to the RX320 is a Motorola speaker that has been fitted with a MidTex mercury-whetted reed relay. Whenever my Jupiter HF Transceiver is switched to transmit, this reed relay silently disables the RX320 speaker in order to avoid any feedback. The silent operation of this relay is especially important when operating CW.

I use N4PY’s Jupiter Control Program to operate both the RX320 and the TenTec Jupiter.
