R.III.2. Harm Jeltes. Born Hornhuizen before 1721, son of R.II.1 Jelte Popkes and Lijsbeth Tjapkes. Died between 2.05 and 7.07.1784. Married (1) Hornhuizen 12.04.1751 with Claaske Arijens, baptised Vierhuizen 3.03.1726, daughter of Arien Hindriks and Grietje Meeuwes. Married (2) Hornhuizen 2.05.1784 (hc 18.01) with Ebelje Jacobs, widow of Geert Lues. The reason for this rather long interval between the marriage contract and the marriage was that Sijwert Hindriks made a legal attempt 31.01.1784 to prevent the marriage, claiming that Ebelje Jacobs was engaged to him. Ebelje Jacobs remarries Hornhuizen 17.07.1785 with Arent Meertens.
