Dojo Information
Victoria Aikikai is made up of a number of local dojos. These include the main dojo, Victoria Aikido Centre, as well as San Shu Kan Aikikai, Shawnigan Lake Aikikai, and the University of Victoria Aikikai. Since 1996 Victoria Aikido Centre has been situated at 690 Sumas Street (see map below).

Fees
Beginner's Course Fees
For adults and teenagers, each Beginners Course is seven weeks long. A certificate will be granted at the end of the course if the student has attended at least 12 of the 14 classes.

Junior Class Fees
For children, between the ages of 8 to 14, the beginners join directly into the normal junior classes. Children are encouraged to join in the first class of the month.

After completing the Beginner's Program, if one wants to join the Aikido Centre, the fee structure is:

Monthly Dues consist of two components: a Membership Fee of $15, and a Practice Fee ($45, $35, or $23 depending on the classification). As long as you wish to maintain continuous membership, the $15 Membership Fee is due even if you are not practicing. If you membership lapses, the Initiation Fee must be paid again when you rejoin.
