First
Impressions (infant and toddler nursery)
There is a nursery for infants and toddlers available during the Sunday
morning worship service in the lower level of the church facility.
We have a pager display system in the sanctuary. When you bring your
child to the nursery you will be assigned a number. (Regular members
keep the same number from week to week).
People are needed to pray for the children that they will see and learn
about God’s love for them. Pray that God will be at the heart
of this ministry and He will use it for His glory and pray for the volunteers
who are teaching and caring for the children.
There
are many opportunities to be involved in this ministry. Volunteers
are needed to teach and care for these children, as well as clean and
organize the toys and supplies. Please prayerfully consider being a
part of this ministry to our youngest children. For more information,
contact the church office.
For the
First Impressions Schedule, check out the

"Let
the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For
the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Sunday
School
The Lord has blessed our congregation with a number of children who
have been able to participate in our Sunday School program. We have
approximately 64 children in the program, from age 3 - Grade 5, and
39 leaders/assistants who lead on a rotational basis for which we are
very thankful! Every Sunday, following the children's message in our
morning worship service, we gather together with the children and leaders/assistants,
for a short time of worship in the fellowship hall, where we sing and
pray together. From there, the children break up into five age groups
and meet with their leader(s)/assistant in their classroom, where they
continue their worship, have a Bible story and do follow-up activities
which reinforce the message of the Bible story (e.g. crafts, rhymes,
songs, memory work, story scripts, workbook activities, etc.). The "God
Loves Me" program is used for Age 3's and 4's. The LiFE (Living
in Faith Everyday) program is used for Kindergarten - Grade 5.
The children participate in the worship service from time to time through
singing and the observance of the Lord's Supper.
Our current collection is for "Sight 4 Kids" where visually
impaired children are provided eyeglasses through Christian Blind Mission
International.
Thank you for your prayers for both the children and leaders/assistants
of the program! Thank you for your wonderful cookie donations! Above
all, we thank the Lord for His blessings upon this children's ministry! |

Victoria
Calvinist Cadet Corps
A club for spiritual nurturing of boys in grades 1-6 from both Victoria
Christian Reformed Church (VicCRC) and Christ Community Church (CCC).
We meet every other Wednesday night at CCC,
3897 Holland Ave.,
from 6:30-8:00 pm. Join us for Bible Study, games, projects, crafts,
and camping.
Our Cadet Club, along with around 650 clubs across North America, use
materials and programming supplied by the Calvinist Cadet Corps. The
Calvinist Cadet Corps is a youth ministry organization whose purpose
is to provide churches, such as ours, with a ministry program that will
enable us to effectively share Christ's love with boys from our church
and community.
Us leaders look forward to working with the boys and hope we can build
a strong program that is a highlight for the boys.
More information about the VCCC Cadet Program, and Cadeting in general,
can be found at our web page. |

GEMS
(Girls Everywhere Meeting the Saviour)
GEMS is a club for girls
that meets every other Wednesday between September and May at Christ
Community Church (CCC), 3897 Holland Ave. from 6:30-8pm. There are three
groups: Grades 1-5, Grades 6-8, and the Counselor in Training program
for girls in grades 9-12. Volunteer leadership comes from both Victoria
Christian Reformed Church (VicCRC) and CCC. This ministry is being blessed
in so many ways, through the girls and also amongst the Counselors.
This year's
theme: Abba I Belong to You
God is
our loving Heavenly Father. Our identity, worth and faith formation
is based on the fact that God loves us and call us His children. Knowing
that we ARE His children - daughters of the King - should motivate us
to live our lives as He instructs - to live as Jesus did. The theme
verse is 1 John 3:1. |
