Order a Tape

Ordering Tapes Anyone who is considering programming or wishes to exhibit work from Video Out, should contact Video Out to place an order. Orders should be placed a minimum of two weeks in advance. Orders with less lead time may be subject to increased shipping and handling fees. Video Out is able to provide exhibition copies of its collection in the following formats: VHS, Beta SP, DV, and 3/4" (all NTSC). If another format or standard is required or the program, the cost of the conversion may be included in the cost of the order. Return shipment is the responsibility of the licensee. Tapes should be returned as soon as possible to Video Out according to the "Video Tape Returning Instructions" sent out with the tapes.

Fees

Video Out offers a variety of licenses for use of the programs it distributes, however, the program always remains the property of the artist, who retains all copyright. In addition to the cost of the license Video Out may add GST and the costs of shipping and handling. The prices that follow are Video Out’s pricing guidelines:

For the cost of other licenses (ie. Broadcast and purchasing for the life of the tape on a format other than VHS) please contact Video Out. Please note that, because we allow artists to set their own rates if they wish, some tapes (particularly older ones) may have prices which are inconsistent with our guidelines. Please contact Video Out to confirm any prices.

Without written consent from Video Out, a program leased from Video Out:

1. May not be duplicated in whole or in part.

2. Will be exhibited in its entirety and may not be altered or excerpted in any way.

3. May not be transferred or lent out by the licensee to any institution or individual.

4. May not be broadcast in whole or in part.

5. May not be submitted to any form of government classification.
