Another Year has past us by quickly, and another Pest Conference has come and gone, leaving us with lots of new info to spur us on for another year. The most memorable presentations were from Bobby Corrigan from New York and Laurel Hansen, from Washington State, who are both very passionate about the critters they research. Bobby even blew off a dinner with friends to track where a rat in the gutter was finding food! That's dedication. Jeff White also gave us tons of great info on those traumatizing bed bugs. Lots of research is still being done, but they remain a hard bug to get rid of. A minimum of 2 treatments is required! If not more. So if you get any unexplained bites, don't hesitate to phone a professional! Before things get out of hand.

We have just come back from a great weekend in Vancouver for the annual SPMABC Pest Conference. As always we met lots of great people in the pest industry, shared stories and learned some new things. One of the most interesting presentations was from Dr. Michael Potter, University of Kentucky, regarding a growing problem and fear, BED BUGS. After 40 years of near eradication, Bed bugs have made a resurgence into our lives again. Scientists are working hard to learn more about these bugs, what makes them 'tick' and how to combat them. It is a huge job and a hard bug to deal with. More information on what we learned will be coming soon.
