I would like information on
your family programs. Baby Book Packs
The goal of the program is to
promote the benefits of reading to children starting at a very young
age. In partnership with the Drayton Valley Community Health
Centre, we have been
distributing
the Books for Babies packages since 1994. The packages are handed
out to families when they bring their babies in for their 4 and 12 month immunizations. Each package includes an age-appropriate book and literature outlining
the importance of reading to your baby. Also included is an
invitation to the programming that we provide. ------------------------------------- Rhymes that Bind
Long before they
understand speech, children take pleasure in the rhythm and pattern of
sound, learning and widening their interests at the at same time.
Rhymes that Bind is an oral literacy program, for babies 0 to 4 years of
age. Parents learn to enjoy rhymes, finger plays, songs and
lullabies with their infants and toddlers in a supportive environment.
