Which Witch is Which?
I was watching a re-run of Bewitched late one night (well, technically I guess they're all re-runs... except for the new movie, but I don't think that's out yet, so I doubt anyone would think I was talking about that... but, once again, I digress). Anyway, in this particular episode, Samantha's mother was asked her last name and, with a cocked eyebrow to her daughter, she answered "Waters" which related directly to a spell she'd just cast. Obviously, their last name was not Waters, but it made me wonder briefly if, as witches, they actually used surnames. My thoughts whizzed right past that question and landed on the flavour of "Samantha Waters" in my mouth... it tasted familiar. Sam Waters...? Then it hit me: that was the name of the main character on Profiler. So we've got Samantha "Waters" Stephens... attractive, blonde witch. And Samantha Waters... attractive, blonde psychic. Hmmm. Coincidence?
