The Parting Gift
If you're a regular reader, you've probably caught a few of my recent rants. I'm sure you won't be flabbergasted to know that the particular friendship that most of them pertained to is over. Well, last night I discovered my surprise "parting gift" in the form of onychomycosis (i.e. toenail fungus). Yep, my last act of friendship was treating said former friend to a manicure and pedicure at the spa of her choice. Well, I certainly will not be returning to the spa of her choice. Ever. Everything that could go wrong, did. It was a definitely Murphy's Law day at the end of a Murphy's Law week that capped a Murphy's Law month. But apparently the indignities of that particular day continue... because now I'm missing a toenail. What a perfectly apropos dénouement. Thanks ever so.
