West Coast Assistance Teams is a registered charity that provides highly trained and loving dogs to disabled people in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. We are a small community-based, human service organization that makes a huge difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Our program is certified by the Province of B.C. and we are governed by the Guide Animal Act Legislation.

West Coast Assistance Teams is focused on initiating High-Schooled Assistance Dog programs in the Lower Mainland school system. This is a specific program designed to teach at-risk teens to train and place assistance dogs with individuals with disabilities. It has a proven track record in California, New York and Florida with increasing student's self-esteem, improving attendance, and decreasing behavioral problems, while also helping to supply greatly needed assistance dogs to the disabled community.
