December 28, 1988 - May 29, 2000

They will not go quietly, the dogs who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think we hear barking at the door.
Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring us new friends 
and a new food dish to fill,

Ceejae was a "show dog" and was an ambassador for Berners at many shows.  From  Best Puppy in Show in 1989 to largest dog in the junior handling ring in 1999. 
We tried obedience trialing (high in class) and
drafting (just about DD...had to be with me on the long  down). She was a therapy dog at a local nursing home
and most of all
 our best friend
