Brandweer,our kennel name, is permanently registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. With limited breeding we strive for type, temperament and intelligence. Brandweer is active in conformation and obedience, as well as unrelated breed activities such as road trials, carting and agility. We also do Ring Stewarding, both conformation and obedience. I had the first Western Canadian Dalmatian to hold both R.D. and R.D.X. titles. TILLEY (CH. BRANDWEER'S SUNNYGLEN, R.D. / R.D.X.)

Over 30 years ago my parents brought home our first Dalmatian, "GIGI OF SAMOSIR" Since then in twos or threes, we have always had our chosen breed.

My brother and I, as junior handlers showed the dogs in the conformation classes and gained the championships on them. My parents showed in obedience and were able to get the "CD" titles on them along with some high in class.

I still breed and show Dalmatians and I now have a Pharaoh Hound, Reno, who, with limited showing achieved her Championship and was the the Number One Pharaoh Hound in Canada (2008) in Lure Coursing which is another activity that the Brandweer Kennels enjoy along with Field Clerking (for the coursing trials) and training for our Herding Certificate having just passed the Herding Instinct Test.
