Patrick Houda and Joe
Pelletier, co-authors of Encyclopedic history of the
Canada Cup and World Cup of Hockey, recently had the
pleasure of working with Team Canada. The duo
supplied HockeyCanada.ca
with historical data a and write-ups on the World
Cup of Hockey 1996, the Canada Cups, and the 1972
and 1974 Summit Series.
"Much of the
information provided to Hockey Canada was
unpublished left-overs from the book," said
Pelletier. "The book is a great resource for
people looking at the history of the tournaments,
while the content on this website supplements it
nicely."
The two researchers
have other unpublished materials and are looking for
opportunities to see that this information is
released in time for the 2004 World Cup of Hockey.
