Answer: Sergei Makarov and Paul Coffey, each with 31 (Note that Gretzky scored more than both combined!) Makarov had 16 goals and 15 assists in just 22 games, while the defenseman Coffey had 6 goals and 25 assists in 33 games.

Answer: The Soviet Union's Viktor Zhluktov scored 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points in and 11-3 win over Finland in 1976. Three players are tied for 2nd with 5 points each Canada's Rick Martin (3 goals, 2 assists in an 11-2 win over Finland in 1976), Sweden's Kent Nilsson (1 goal and 4 assists in a 9-2 victory over the USA in 1984) and Canada's Wayne Gretzky (5 assists in the thrilling game 2 of the 1987 finals against USSR).

Answer: USA's Keith Tkachuk had 44 minutes in penalties - all in the 7 games he appeared in in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. 25 of those minutes came in one game against Canada. Canada's Mark Messier ranks second on the all time penalty minute leader board with 36 PIM, but he played in 32 games

Answer: The youngest player was USA's Ed Olczyk, who was just 18 years, 0 months and 16 days when the 1984 tournament began. The oldest was Sweden's Borje Salming, who was 40 years, 4 months and 14 days as the 1991 tournament began.
