Congratulations – You’re getting married! West Point Grey United Church is the perfect place for you to begin a committed life together in marriage, even if you've never attended our church. We see people as unique, loved creatures of God. We also see relationships as living things, requiring preparation and nurture. In addition to meeting with our minister, Rev. Val Taylor, we encourage our couples coming to be married to attend a marriage preparation workshop with the Marriage Project –www.themarriageproject.com .
We invite you to plan your special day using our beautiful facilities. Join us for worship at 10:30 a.m. on any Sunday and view the church. You will hear the organ and grand piano and see our lovely stained glassed windows. If Sunday is not convenient for you please call the office (604-224-4388) and make an appointment to view the church during weekdays.
We have a brochure that details what is involved in holding your wedding with us. When you book your wedding with us Rev. Val will also meet with you and help you to plan the wedding of your dreams.
Our community is broad and accepting. We believe God intends loving relationships to be faithful, responsible, just, healing and sustaining of the couple and those around them. As well as couples getting married for the first time, The United Church marries previously divorced people, same sex couples and couples of different religions.
