"Play'n'Learn" Drop-In

West Side Family Place offers a daily Play and Learn Drop-In Program for parents, caregivers and their children. Professional supportive staff operate the program and are available for information and informal consultations. Visitors are welcome to come any time during operating hours and stay as long as they like.

A comfortable playroom offers a variety of preschool activities which include: daily art projects, imaginative dress-up play, a playdough table, age appropriate toys and a children's library. Each morning a daily circle time features songs, stories, finger games and movement.

West Side Family Place opens onto an enclosed play area, with a large sand box, swings, a play house, lots of outside toys, climbing structures and ample seating.

Whether you are a first-time visitor or an "old timer", we are here to support all families with young children in their efforts to raise healthy children.

HOURS

West Side Family Place (W11th Ave and McDonald) is open for Drop-In Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon (except the last Friday of the month) and Wednesday afternoons 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Our Drop-In at Jericho Military Base near W4th Ave and Alma is open Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 4 p.m. Call us for details.

COST

Your first visit to the "Play and Learn" Drop-In is free. For all subsequent Drop-Ins there is a $2 fee. Annual memberships help us to cover some of costs associated with Drop-In program and are currently $15. Subsidies are available for all our programs.
