Inukshuk, is an Inuit word meaning the symbol of man. The hand piled rocks served as directional markers for those who followed.
Inuit also used Inukshuks as hunting markers. They would channel the caribou into valleys, with the Inukshuks at the top of hills. Today, the Inukshuk reminds us of our dependance on one another and stand as an eternal symbol of friendship.
