Dr. Lily Yen was born in Taiwan. She received a B. Sc. with Honours in mathematics from Simon Fraser University in 1989 and a Ph. D. in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. Dr. Yen has taught at the University of Waterloo, where she held a Post-Doctoral Fellowship, and at Simon Fraser University and Capilano University.
Dr. Yen is a trainer on the Canadian team at the International Mathematics Olympiad. She has given invited lectures at the Waterloo Seminar for the CMC winners and at the SFU Math-Camp for select students. Moreover, Dr. Yen has given talks at the International Congress of Mathematics Education as well as the British Columbia Colleges High School Mathematics Contest Conference.
Dr. Mogens Lemvig Hansen was born in Denmark. He received a Cand. Scient. in mathematics and physics from Odense University in 1988 and a Ph. D. in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. Dr. Hansen has taught at Wilfrid-Laurier University and Simon Fraser University.
