Nikolaj at Zion National Park in Utah Î-Hok in Chinese characters My name is Nikolaj Î-Hok Yen Hansen. I was born at home on July 23rd, 2003, at 4:50pm. I weighed 8 lbs 2 oz or 3700g and measured 22.5 inches or 52cm. I have grown a lot since then.

I go to French immersion Grade 1 at École Sperling Elementary School. I like my school even if my best friends from last year are now in another class. Sometimes I have homework. I still like my homework because it makes me feel big.

I also have classes outside of school. I go to karate, and I have been learning to play the piano for years. I’m very excited about the karate classes; I’m less excited about the piano, but I like to play when my mom or my dad sits next to me. My mom is talking about taking me to violin lessons with my sister.

I like to play with Lego. I like to build according to a manual. It’s fun to build it just right—if I can get my dad or Kristian or Justine to find the pieces for me. Sometimes I even clean up afterwards.
