My name is Nikolaj Î-Hok Yen Hansen. I was born at home on July 23rd, 2003, at 4:50pm. I weighed 8 lbs 2 oz or 3700g and measured 22.5 inches or 52cm. I have grown a lot since then.
We went to Denmark this summer. I liked the circus and riding the elephant (even if it was only for a sixtieth of a second), and I liked the cannon at the Frigate Jylland, and I liked Legoland (especially the safari cars—I went for the ride many, many times, but sailing the boats was too difficult, and there were much too many people in the gift shop when we wanted to go home because it was late and it had begun raining, but I still got a police motorcycle), and I liked to ride the small train at the railroad museum (but the museum itself was boring and I didn’t get anything in the gift shop), and I liked the trampoline and the swings, and I liked the ice creams. Egeskov castle was ok, but the Tollund man was boring, and in Hedeby I was tired and hungry (but it was fun to meet up with our friends from Hamburg). And I missed my mommy who had to stay home to make money.
Now that we’re home again, I go to pre-school. My Mom or my Dad walk me up there, but sometimes I am driven home by Ena’s mom. I like pre-school, even though my friend Achu doesn’t come there anymore because he is in kindergarten. When I come home from pre-school, I have second lunch (for we eat a lunch at pre-school, too), and then my Dad read me a story. I like Thomas Train and Palle alene i verden and Jeg vil også gå i skole and Halfdans ABC. I also take swimming lessons. It’s fun and I can do many tricks.
I like to play with Lego. I like to build according to a manual. It’s fun to build it just right—if I can get my dad or Kristian or Justine to find the pieces for me. Sometimes I even clean up afterwards. I also like to play with my Duplo train set. The train runs on batteries. I can start it and stop it and make it crash; and there are switches to make it go this way or that, and a station to stop at, and control pieces to make the train go backwards or sound the whistle.
