AAR1 AAR2
These two after-action reports comprise the games Ken Smith aka "Priest" and I played after an exchange on armour tactics. We both wanted to see the intent behind our rhetoric and discover firsthand the differing approaches in practice. For a bit of background readers can view the original thread at Attack - what's harder? Defending or attacking?
We had both desired early on to come up with some material for an AAR and/or article to share for further comment and discussion. We chose to play two Meeting Engagements on the same custom map, switching sides for the second battle. We wanted to reduce the chance factor to *human* only so stuck to generic parameters regards weather and map features. 5000 points were allocated to purchase the forces, the only caveat being no 'Super' tanks or airpower, and 55 turns for the game length so no artificial time constraints. Third party setup was done courtesy of the fine Winecape, muchas gracias!
EDIT: March 9, 2003 - Completed AAR2. Enjoy!
