I think I was 16, at the time, as the pictures must have been taken in '67.  O'Brien repatriated, and Bruce moved on to bass. After Peeke returned to Canada we became "Paper Taxi" as a 3 piece, until we discovered a very young (age 11) talent by the name of Sylvia Bast. We became Chapter III after she joined.

I was a summer school councellor....85 cents/hour!!  That's how I bought the Hofner.  There was a concert at the end of the summer for the parents. Sylvia was going to sing "These Boots Were Made for Walkin' " and was simply going to sing along with the record. I suggested she let Bruce and I back her up.  So. our first "gig" was just that....Bruce and me playing (no drums).
