Home

The 31st Baden Powell Guild of Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows was founded December 11, 1997 and invested its charter members on January 29, 1998. The investiture was overseen by Bill Bennett, Provincial Liaison Officer of B-P Guilds and his wife Emmy, Secretary for the International Fellowship of former Scouts and Guides. The ceremony was conducted by Jeff Burton and Rick Wilmot from the 38th B-P guild.

The original officers elected were:

Guildmaster – Bruce Wilson
Secretary/ Treasurer – Alan Pitt
Publicity/ Historian – Leslie Goldsby
Investing Officer – Larry Goldsby

We finally received our Charter in the Spring of 1998

Our first project as a Guild was to place a plaque honoring Ian Scheidel on Scheidel Ridge in October 1998.
