According to the so-called "conventional wisdom" it's impossible to take a happy, healthly family pet and working farm dog right off the farm and show him to a championship by the owner-co-owner. Too many people claim a potential champion would have to be kennelled to protect the coat, fed special diets rather than plain meat to enchance the coat, and a host of other regimes that totally detract from the dog's quality of life. "Cody" proves this "theory" wrong. On May 11, 2001 he became a Canadian champion and is now siring great pups who will grow up to be great family pets first and foremost, and if the owners wish, show, obedience and agility dogs second.
