Nathan Shubert is, by and large, a self taught photographer. His love affaire with photography dates back to his childhood years when he wouldn't go anywhere without his Fisher Price toy camera. Once Nathan received his first 'real' camera as a Chanukah gift, and later his first SLR (Nikkormat FTn, 1972) as a birthday present, photography became a permanent part of him.

Since that Fisher Price camera, Nathan has gone through many cameras and has covered a wide range of subject matter. His experience ranges from 'mall Santa' photography to portraits for political candidates.
