The Hardisty Ski and Board Club

This year, there isn't much new to report. The season did start late, as a result of the very un-seasonal weather, but we are finally on the hill, and working toward another great and successful season. Originally, there were to be 4 race dates, but with the weather, that has been reduced to three. Although there is a non series race being held in Cold Lake this year. This is their first year in NGSL and I believe they are interested in joining our CARS series. For more information, visit our info page.

Congratulations to Don Oneil, on his new job working as an instructor in the Banff region. We are going to miss him with the club, but wish him all the best in his endeavors.

In the past, we have grown is many ways. As we have an equipment shed now, and are filling it with more and more equipment, including the new snowboard gates! A huge thanks goes out to Gary Storbakken for working so hard on the new timing/equipment building! Gary supplied a lot of the materials, and many hours in the planning and construction. Also, thanks to Allen Cookson and Gary Simpson who also put quite a few hours in the building. Thanks a million to everyone who helped! It is things like this that shows the strong support the club has. And without such great support, the club would never be able to grow and be so strong!!
