Church Family
Zuppa
Once a month, on a Friday evening, the church family
gathers to eat soup, buns and cake, followed by an informal evening of
playing table games, and lots of visiting.
Art Classes
Our church family is privileged to have a very talented
artist, Gregg Johnson, as a member. Periodically he offers watercolor art
classes. All are welcome to attend, no matter what skill level.
Sporting
Events
There are many of the church family who enjoy going to
sporting events together. One of the major events of the fall is the annual
Eskimo vs. Stampeder game. In the winter, Spice, Slice and Ice happens –
with the “Ice” being a professional hockey game.
Community Picnic
In the spring, the church invites the community of
Duggan to a free picnic and hot dog BBQ. There are games for all ages and
it is great time to get to know our 'neighbors'.
Holiday
Dinners
At Thanksgiving, a turkey dinner is served at the
church for those who wish to celebrate together.
At Christmas, we make the trip to Camp Nakamun, for a
day of fun and fellowship and a wonderful festive meal, followed by
Christmas caroling.
Community
Garage Sale
Each September, to kick-off our fall programs, we
invite the community to join us in a giant garage sale on the church
grounds. Many “treasures” are bought and sold, and each gets to keep their
own proceeds – or spend it at someone else’s table!
Church
Family Breakfasts
The men get to demonstrate their cooking skills a
couple times a year!
As we start our fall programs, the church family gathers to enjoy breakfast
and visit. In the spring, the men again get out the grills so we can enjoy
breakfast together.
