What are we supposed to be doing at Southgate Alliance
Church until God returns?
So he (the master) called ten of his servants and
gave them ten minas. 'Do business till I come.' (Luke 19:13)
We note that the Bible teaches that we are to fulfill God's Great
Commandment!
Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the
first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your
neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two
commandments. (Matthew 22:37-40)
We note that the Bible clearly teaches God's great Commitment!
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this
rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not
overcome it. (Mathew 16:18)

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything
I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of
the age. (Mathew 28:19-20)
Flowing out of God's Great Commandment,

and Great Commission comes
Our mission- Share Christ and Build Disciples
Our vision is to faithfully Share Christ and Build
Disciples right here at our present location. As God opens door, we
desire to partner in placing a new church in the growing southwest corner
of Edmonton!
Our method to Share Christ and Build disciples
is modeled and given to us in the early church.
They devoted themselves to
the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking
of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and
miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were
together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and
goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued
to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their
homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God
and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their
number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:42-47)
Therefore, in dependence on God and for HIS glory, we
will Share Christ and Build Disciples by:
Growing deeper though discipleship!
"They devoted themselves to the
apostles."
Growing warmer through fellowship!
"They devoted themselves ... to the
fellowship."
Growing broader through ministry
"All the believers were together ... they
gave to anyone as he had need."
Growing stronger through worship!
"praising God."
Growing larger through outreach!
"And the Lord added to their number daily
those who were being saved."
OUR MANNER as we Share Christ and Build
Disciples will be to provide encouragement to go on!
OUR MOTIVATION in Sharing Christ and Building disciples is to one day
hear God's wonderful words;
Well done, good and faithful servant!
You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many
things. Come and share your master's happiness! (Mathew 25:21)
