What is the Strategy?
	The strategy is 'RAPPP for Reading Comprehension' and uses the acronym RAPPP which stands for: Read with a purpose Ask yourself what it said and meant Put what you have read into your own words Picture what you have read by making a picture on paper or in your mind Present the information you have read to someone else or to yourself

Guided Practice
	Take a moment to think back to when your have read some material and not understood it or were not able to remember it. Using this strategy will help. Now, pick something to read and use each step of RAPPP. Yes, it will take you a little longer to read the material BUT if you are able to remember and understand better, it is time well spent. And you will get faster and faster as you use RAPPP more.

Apply the Strategy
	Use the RAPPP strategy in a reading session today. Do each step carefully and then write down how well it worked. Or for a change of pace, do the TV trial. Watch and listen to section of a TV newscast using the RAPPP steps and find out how well it works. Like any skill, you will need to practice it often.

Summarize the Strategy
	To summarize this strategy, sell it to someone. You are a RAPPP strategy salesman, so develop a presentation, hype it up, put some dazzle into it and then find someone to present it to, anyone. If you can’t find anyone, then sell it to your mirror. Then answer the questions? Would you buy this strategy from you? What would a good price be, three easy payments of $ 19.99? Could you make a living selling this strategy?
