Latest and greatest?  If you were expecting some deep, heavy political comment, boy are you on the wrong web page eh!

What can I say though?  Just got back from my latest Windjammer cruise in December 2003 and had yet another fantastic time.  Captain Julian on the Legacy, Captain Casey on the Polynesia, and both crews were absolutely amazing.  There's a few things that go into making a cruise great; the ship, the crew, and the PASSENGERS!  And I can honestly say that this past trip was one of my favorites.  People make Windjammer, both the Company folks and the people that sail on the ships.  I met some awesome people as usual and I'm sure we'll be in touch for along time.  Thanks also to the wonderful folks at the office in Miami who work so hard to take care of us all!

By the way Terry; nice floaties!!

Sorry it took forever to get these pics up.  Boy, Microsoft FrontPage used to be a great program.  Bloody hell, now you need a degree in Computer Science to run the damn thing!  Not only that but with the holiday season, battling a nasty flu, and working long hours, I didn't have the time to put it all together.

So now that Christmas is over, it's time to get back into work, skiing, snowmobiling, and lots of other winter activities.  Contrary to Terry, I am not digging myself out of my igloo each morning.  It did dip to about -30 for a week (that's Celsius...about -20 Farenheit for the Americans) but right now it's a pleasant +6 and we're having a bit of a melt.  I'm not kidding myself though, winter is far from over and it's too early to break out the tent trailer.  Hopefully soon though!

The good news...my local liquor store has started importing Carib beer for me!  It's a bit expensive, but hey, there's nothing like sitting outside in the hot tub when it's -15 sipping Carib beer and pretending that I'm in the surf on Tintamerre.  OK, so it takes a pretty wild imagination to make that happen, but I try!

By the way, click HERE for Steve's World Famous Seafood Lasagna...OK, well, famous in my neighbourhood, how about that eh?  RULE: Must be served with Carib beer, no excuses.

Work is busy as always.  I have been with Canadian Pacific Railway for 16 years and my current posting is in Calgary as a Yard Manager at Alyth Yard.  It's a busy place and a real challenge!

It's still too cold to hang my butt out, which some people seemed to think I have a fetish for.  Naw, just when the foo-foo ships go by!!!  Make no mistake, that moon of the Oriana on St Kitts while she was docked beside us remains one of the best moons ever!  :)

That's it from here, hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas season.  Next Jammer trip?  I'm thinking April on the Clipper but that remains to be seen.  100% guaranteed I'll be on a ship in October or November this year and if I can fit in another trip in the Spring I will do it.

Have a good one and keep in touch!
